- change after every 2-4 hours depending on the flow of blood
- dont flush the used pad or tampon in the toilets
- carry a spare pad or tampon in ur bag coz the initial stages of period is very unpredictable. it can come a bit earlier or later than the previous date.
- record the dates of ur periods until u master the pattern. this will help u know when will b the exact date of ur next period
- whenever u change try to wash down there with soap to remove odour and to refresh urself.
- i like spraying a little perfume on my panty in every change to keep more confident

If you do decide to try tampons start with the really small "junior" size because it's easier to start with the smaller types. If you're sticking with pads get the ultra thin really absorbant ones, they'll give you the protection without the feeling that you're wearing a diaper. Always brand makes pads that are really thin but still very absorbant, so I would recommend using those. Also it would be a good idea to get overnight pads as well. These pads are longer and so you'll stay completely covered while you sleep without having to worry about leakage. Also if you get cramps, midol works really well without making you really tired. Reply:When you first start your period it's good to start using pads. Tampons are very conveniant but they can be very intimidating at first. If you do decide to try tampons start with the really small "junior" size because it's easier to start with the smaller types. If you're sticking with pads get the ultra thin really absorbant ones, they'll give you the protection without the feeling that you're wearing a diaper. Always brand makes pads that are really thin but still very absorbant, so I would recommend using those. Also it would be a good idea to get overnight pads as well. These pads are longer and so you'll stay completely covered while you sleep without having to worry about leakage. Also if you get cramps, midol works really well without making you really tired. Reply:u definitely should not panic about starting it is just a part of life but all i have to say is u shouldnt start wearing a tampon until summer because thats when u need them most...dont worry about putting one in...every one says it hurts but it totally doesnt!!! and when u do start wearing one dont leave it in more than 6 hours because u can get a deadly disease calle toxic shock syndrome,tss, and also dont leave it in for a short period of time because if u do and it hasnt absorbed enough blood and it will be uncomfortable to take out...... oh and one more thing if u have a heavy period u should were a panty liner while u have a tampon in.

I find fault with them and also worry about making a fool of myself so I end up coming across a bit snooty (I think).
I mentioned this to a woman the other day and she said "you're very funny. But then some people don't understand a dry sense of humour" Wasn't sure if that was an insult or not......

She dresses smart and neat, I'm more of a hippy! But I wouldn't change her for the world- it's pretty special to have grown with someone for that long.

I have gone from having a strong circle of girl friends to having absolutely no female companions, but an army of guy friends on my side. I think as high school came to an end, we all started to undergo the kinds of changes that either make or break friendships. Unfortunately, in my case, they broke.
Sometimes it does get to me, because there are times I wish I could have girlfriends to talk to again. No matter how much I love my boys, there are some things you can NOT talk to guys about.
I don't know what it is, though, about girls that makes me dislike them at this point. I think we all have little insecurities that makes us kind of catty towards other girls who don't have those issues (ex. weight, looks, material things, etc.). If we could all get over those defects, it would probably be so much easier to get along with everyone - but that's something that's up to us to change, isn't it?

I have gone from having a strong circle of girl friends to having absolutely no female companions, but an army of guy friends on my side. I think as high school came to an end, we all started to undergo the kinds of changes that either make or break friendships. Unfortunately, in my case, they broke.
Sometimes it does get to me, because there are times I wish I could have girlfriends to talk to again. No matter how much I love my boys, there are some things you can NOT talk to guys about.
I don't know what it is, though, about girls that makes me dislike them at this point. I think we all have little insecurities that makes us kind of catty towards other girls who don't have those issues (ex. weight, looks, material things, etc.). If we could all get over those defects, it would probably be so much easier to get along with everyone - but that's something that's up to us to change, isn't it?

Some girls are shown that the skinnier you are the more attention they get, and it doens't matter what kind of attention you get. It doesn't apply to everyone though. Girls have this thing that we constanly compare ourselves to other girls...our friends, our cousins, and celebrities. Those cocky girls that say they look good...they're comparing themselves too, otherwise they wouldn't have to say that they look good. It's a matter of feeling comfortable in our own skin...literally. Sometimes we feel things we never felt before and suddenly we feel FAT. We constantly look for approval and fish for compliments...and when we get them...we want more. So those that get it fish for more. Those that don't...slowly come to accept themselves for who they are. I can't speak for anyone you know. I can only speak for those that I do know. My cousins,,,and MY friends. It's something you will never cease. The skinny fad will never end. And the slimming diets will live on and more will come. I hate this taboo.

Some girls are shown that the skinnier you are the more attention they get, and it doens't matter what kind of attention you get. It doesn't apply to everyone though. well many girls like it when you let her know that you care and that you have been thinking about her, when you talk to them alot on the phone or texting or email, i like it when a guy comes over to just hang out and when he gives me hugs and pays attention to me...... i love it when he askes what i am doing later this weekend and then once i answer he'll either say aw i wish i could hang out with you or if i can do something he askes if i want to hang out and do anything i choose.......... but it is also what ever you are comfortable and what you think that this girl would be comfortable with, like, and what her personal idea of all this is....

Fake guys (be yourself), big egos (hearing about how all women want you is a BIG turnoff), no ambition (it is not important that you have a lot of money, but nobody wants someone whose life's ambition is to still live in his parents house and still be flipping burgers when he is 40) and most importantly guys who only want one sided relationships ( you know, guys who think the relationship is all about what they want and need). As far as what we like, that is easy. We like romance, someone who listens and is genuinely interested, someone who makes us laugh, someone who can carry on a decent conversation and someone who is willing to make time for us. many people when they are young want a date that adds to their 'status'. they often go for superficial traits such as looks or who is the most popular in their group. Unfortunately it rarely favours the 'nice guys'.
To get ahead you will need to be more than just a 'nice guy'. try developing a combination of good social skills (knowing what to say and when to say it), confidence with the opposite sex and decency should get you over the line :D

I guess it is 'the forbidden' that attracts human nature most. But, then again, boys are the same. They also choose the girl that is going to treat them the worst.
I guess we like whatever isn't easy to get. But this doesn't mean we need to turn into jerks in order to be harder to get. If we know who we are %26amp; what we're worth, we most surely will be a little more picky as to whom we choose as a partner. ;)
Don't change your good nature because of 1 girl because what if due to your change you loose the one that's right for you? Just appreciate all the good qualities in you %26amp; start thinking about how 'your girl' should be. You'll see you won't end up with just every girl!!!

Someone who will make her laugh.
Someone who wont be shy with her.
Someone who is cute (looks)
Someone who acts the same when with friends and with out her friends.

My boyfriend is amazing. He listens to what i have to say, he shows me he loves me, he tries his hardest to cheer me up when I'm down and he's just amazing.
You maybe need to look for girls who are a little older, or seem to act a little older. Girls who are still in there teens go for bad boys.

many people when they are young want a date that adds to their 'status'. they often go for superficial traits such as looks or who is the most popular in their group. Unfortunately it rarely favours the 'nice guys'.
To get ahead you will need to be more than just a 'nice guy'. try developing a combination of good social skills (knowing what to say and when to say it), confidence with the opposite sex and decency should get you over the line :D
