my cousin just started her period, she wanted me to ask this question,Any tips for when you just started your period
i know dont frush it down the toilet
THANKS
THIS IS NOT THE RIGHT CATEGORY TO PUT IT IN BUT, THIS IS WHERE MOST OF THE GIRLS ARE
GiRls????????
- change after every 2-4 hours depending on the flow of blood
- dont flush the used pad or tampon in the toilets
- carry a spare pad or tampon in ur bag coz the initial stages of period is very unpredictable. it can come a bit earlier or later than the previous date.
- record the dates of ur periods until u master the pattern. this will help u know when will b the exact date of ur next period
- whenever u change try to wash down there with soap to remove odour and to refresh urself.
- i like spraying a little perfume on my panty in every change to keep more confident
Reply:whats the question? should u flush it? if so no.
Reply:what's the question? Ur confusing; next time reword ur sentence. u make no sense.
Reply:DONT wear white pants etc.
Use tampons you will feel cleaner.
Pads just get blood everywhere.
Always keep a few extra tampons/pads with you.
And just because your happy about it don't go telling all your girlfriends about it. They don't care.
Don't hesitate when you have to go to the bathroom to "freshen up".
Reply:Most of it is pretty intuitive, wear longer shirts and darker clothes in general when you're on your period.
-Carry around extra pads and tampons
-Shower daily and I usually shower twice a day to feel clean
-Wrap your used pads in toilet paper before throwing them away
Reply:When you first start your period it's good to start using pads. Tampons are very conveniant but they can be very intimidating at first. If you do decide to try tampons start with the really small "junior" size because it's easier to start with the smaller types. If you're sticking with pads get the ultra thin really absorbant ones, they'll give you the protection without the feeling that you're wearing a diaper. Always brand makes pads that are really thin but still very absorbant, so I would recommend using those. Also it would be a good idea to get overnight pads as well. These pads are longer and so you'll stay completely covered while you sleep without having to worry about leakage. Also if you get cramps, midol works really well without making you really tired. I hope that helps!
Reply:well just kinda give her some space becuase we all know how we are!!!
Reply:relax, eat chocalate and Ben and Jerry's and watch girly movies. wear a panty liner if using tampons.
ASK HER MOM!
Reply:Always have a pad and tampon in your purse ready and have some tablet with her at all times if she should need it and buy some of the fresh feminine wipes, dont flush the pad but u can fluch the used tampon! Gd Lk!
Reply:u definitely should not panic about starting it is just a part of life but all i have to say is u shouldnt start wearing a tampon until summer because thats when u need them most...dont worry about putting one in...every one says it hurts but it totally doesnt!!! and when u do start wearing one dont leave it in more than 6 hours because u can get a deadly disease calle toxic shock syndrome, tss, and also dont leave it in for a short period of time because if u do and it hasnt absorbed enough blood and it will be uncomfortable to take out...... oh and one more thing if u have a heavy period u should were a panty liner while u have a tampon in.
Reply:Why do i think your cousin is you?
Reply:*do NOT flush it in the toilet
*drink lots of water
*remain active
*try to eat less sweets
*always carry an extra pad
*if your house has tile, wear socks
*carry midol or some sort of pain reliever for cramps
*if you're cramping real bad, use a heating compress or put a rag in hot water on your stomach
*wash very good so you dont form an embarrassing order
**REMEMBER when your period started so you'll know when to expect it next month**
THIS ALL WORKS FOR ME WHEN ITS MY TIME OF MONTH, GIVE IT A TRY!!!
Reply:i don't get it what's thwe question, tips about what?
Reply:no u dont flush it and for some reason i think ur 'cousin' is u...and if so why not just ask and shouldnt you know?!
Reply:If it's a pad she's using, that's correct, do not flush it down the toilet. Roll it up, wrap it in toilet paper, and throw it away where it won't be seen. The toilet paper serves a dual purpose - makes sure it won't stick to the inside of the trash can and also ensures that nobody inadvertently sees its contents.
If it's a tampon, typically, yes, you can flush those down the toilet. But only the actual tampon part, not the cardboard or plastic applicator. I recommend changing it every 4 - 6 hours on heavier days, every 8 or so on lighter days. Also wrap the used applicator in tp and dispose of properly. Again, it's a courtesy to others who may encounter your trash, so they don't have to see evidence of your inner workings.
Reply:wear dark bottoms so the blood doesnt show if it leaks...
dont use tampons just yet...wait til you start to get used to your period
always bring some pads or tampons to school in your backpack or purse
keep track of the date on which your period starts
after a year of 2, there'll be a pattern
and then you can tell when its coming
Reply:ALWAAAAAYS carry a tampon or pad in your purse... because your period can fluctuate by a day or two as to when it starts. Having midol handy always helps too!
