Girls..................???

i think girls are the most wonderful creation on this planet, they are beatiful people....but why cant they see that them selves?


i mean like...they listen to the media about whats beautiful and whats not, and there are all these damn am i fat questions on yahoo answers thats really annoying! coz u dont need to be skinny to be beautiful, like i find most girls attractive if they were skinny, fat, solid it doesnt bother me so why is being skinny so damn important?

ahhh...i LOVE your opinion...if everyone or at least most boys thought like this girls would have lots more confidence and there would be less eating disorders and girls deppressed and so on
Reply:I think that most women do exactly what you said...listen to the media and watch too much TV with these stars who pay people to help them look skinny and "pretty" I exercise daily and I am happy because I can look good without millions of dollars....

Reply:I appreciate what both of you have said, and I agree. But many people do not feel, or at least act that way. Think how many times you have heard a girl or woman mocked because she is over weight, not as stylish as others, or has some other flaw. People are cruel and improve their own self worth by putting down others. Thank you for what you said. Hopefully some day more people will think like you.
Reply:i dont know if this is true for all girls, but the reason why i am concerned so much w my appearance is because i see these girls like jessica alba and angelina jolie on tv and my guy friends just drool at them and its like "why the hell cant i look like that? then maybe guys would drool over me too"





thats how our minds work, we see guys react to them, then we wonder how we can make them react to us in the same way.

Reply:To me it's not about being skinny, it's about being fit...and I know I'm not. LOL. I feel like those girls you're criticizing. Well. I mean. Some girls are shown that the skinnier you are the more attention they get, and it doens't matter what kind of attention you get. It doesn't apply to everyone though. Girls have this thing that we constanly compare ourselves to other girls...our friends, our cousins, and celebrities. Those cocky girls that say they look good...they're comparing themselves too, otherwise they wouldn't have to say that they look good. It's a matter of feeling comfortable in our own skin...literally. Sometimes we feel things we never felt before and suddenly we feel FAT. We constantly look for approval and fish for compliments...and when we get them...we want more. So those that get it fish for more. Those that don't...slowly come to accept themselves for who they are. I can't speak for anyone you know. I can only speak for those that I do know. My cousins,,,and MY friends. It's something you will never cease. The skinny fad will never end. And the slimming diets will live on and more will come. I hate this taboo.
Reply:Ok I'm not a girl but I agree of what your saying. Girls need to have more self-esteem in themselves and feel more open. I think they see models out there and they compare themselves to them and that's why they don't have any confidence in themselves but your right they should.
Reply:I personally am not like this but i no many others who are. I think its the whole thing about the handsome guy will tend to go out with the skinny 'it' girl which makes other girls feel like this is what they have to become to get a decent guy....which is totally wrong as some of these guys turn out to be shallow and treat girls like crap. x
