ok, i have been on my period for like 6 days how long are they supposed to last and is mine going to long? i am 14

Periods can last anywhere from 4 to 7 or 8 days..It's perfectly normal and every girl is different...It might be even more irregular for you because you probably just began getting it about a year or two..But don't worry, it's normal..However if lasts more than 7 or 8 days just talk to your doctor to make sure everything is alright...

Reply:You probably still have irregular periods. Periods can last anywhere from 3-7 days with a REGULAR period. With an irregular period it can last anywhere from 1-10 days! Maybe talk to your mom about getting on birth control to shorten your period. Explain to her that you have long periods and would like to shorten it. If she says no, then you just have to deal with it. Hopefully you will be off your period soon!
