Depending on where you go, waxes can cost anywhere between $20-$40. I've used Veet and Nair wax strips, but I find the Veet ones work better to removie hair. The problem with veet is that it's really sticky so all the excess wax that stays on your leg requires a lot of scrubbing to get off. Normal body soap won't do, you need to use the oil pads that come with the wax strips. Nair wax strips are made of sugar or something so the wax comes off really easily with just water, but the strips dont' remove wax as easily. I've only used cold wax (comes prepared on strips) but hot wax is also available. Hot wax comes in a mircowavable jar, with waxing strips and a wooden stick to put the wax on your leg.


The first time I waxed hurt a little, but the pain isn't unbearable. It hurts the same amount to get it done or doing it yourself. If you're really scared, do the top of your legs first becuase that part is closer to the bone and it wont' hurt as much.
Reply:DO NOT SELF WAX. It is the most painful kind of torture that you can go through. Waxing at all is the worst, I only get my eyebrows done. Just shave, because it is less painful. When you get your legs waxed, it hurt bad. It was like strip after strip and she just wouldn't hurry it up. I only did it once and NEVER again.
