i was just wondering how many of you have cut the legs off of your jeans, turning them into hotpants/shorts, all because of the hot weather??? Is this in right now? Don't know whether to do it or not what do you think?? Or should i just rip holes in them??

Reply:I did that when I was 14. I cut the legs off of my favourite blue jeans and I regretted a lot as I was looking like a slut in shorts and never wore those anyway. The jeans were so great before doing that. If you like your jeans a lot, don't cut them. You could cut a pair that is not your favourite.

You could always buy shorts you know...You don't have to rip jeans.
Reply:why mess up a pair of jeans when you can buy shorts and jeans with the little holes in them? What if you cut your jeans into shorts and one leg is longer than the other? I don't know bout you but I like to buy shorts not make them.

Reply:If it's really hot where you are, then you should cut them off (but you do run the risk of not liking them because they might be a little uneven.) but jeans with holes in them sure are sexy...
Reply:i turned one pair of old jeans into shorts just by simply cutting them, the edges look slightly frayed which looks cool, i think it kind of works cos they look worn, and sometimes u can buy shorts that look like theyve been cut in a stylish way, so its cheaper to just do it urself, u could try ripping holes in them from the knee downwards and if u don't like it turn them into 3 qauter lengths and if u dnt like tht turn them into shorts! u could personalise them with patches ribbons badges or whatever, give it a go! as long as u dnt love ur trousers too much! its best to use a pair of jeans u were thinking of throwing out anyway. i turned mine into shorts because of the hot weather,live near a beach and some shorts are so expensive for what u get! have fun!

just buy some shorts because you'll want the jeans again when it gets colder
Reply:Don't take a perfectly good pair of jeans and alter them just for that. Use a pair of old worn jeans. You can also buy shorts that look like they were cut off and you can buy jeans that have holes in them already.
Reply:I would go out and buy shorts unless the jeans were already damaged in some other way (stains, holes in places that you don't like, etc).





Winter will come back you know...then what will ya do?
Reply:I did it before to some of my jeans that I didn't like anymore. I got the help of a seam tress because each time I did it the bottom wouldn't be straight.
Reply:I think right now it is more in to make a skirt, but don't go with what is in, go with what you think is cute.
Reply:You don't have to if you don't want to. It's not really a trend to cut your pants but to have purposeful holes in your jeans is a clear style. I'd say just rip little holes in your jeans instead of completely destroying them.

Reply:i would say go to old navy aero or american eagle and just get the croped shorts they are really cute and they come in the camping brown style! :)
