Hairy legs are much more understandable than armpits. Armpit hair is gross.

Reply:In my opinion the hairy legs would be more socially acceptable in America. No one has time to shave every day and sometimes we are so busy we may go longer than usual, but shaving arm pits only takes seconds....and it looks worse than hairy legs.
